you need aquarium salt (varies for each species)

a hydrometer(to measure salinity)

in a species tank you could have a spotted green puffer or two

or have a couple sail fin mollies

or personally my fav(but need a larger tank eventually) dragon/violet gobies

a pair of knight gobies

Also wrestling half beaks

limias

black mollies

bumblebee gobies

these would all work and I have kept all of them so feel free to ask me questions about them

make sure that you get salt for saltwater tanks, not freshwater tanks.

I love saltwater tanks. What do you have in them? Post your specs in the saltwater forums. We can all tell each other about our tanks.

May I suggest sailfin mollies? They are gorgeous and their top fins are..well, gorgeous. Good luck! Keep us posted.
