your stocking is fine,

remember to feed the cardinals not during the day, but when the lights are off or dimmed. You can also add a royal gramma to that list as they make a cool addition, maybe even a pygmy angel fish.

Sounds like you are of to a good start, good luck.\

and dont add all the fish on a once. cool.gif

I would pesonally remove the maroon clown becuase they have a tendancy to get very aggresive. but it is up to you.

friscomenace- 04-06-2005
will it be agressive even if its a baby maroon clown??

Lionfishy- 04-06-2005
might not,

but as it grows it may become aggressive,
tho the species is known to be aggresive, it that one fish that you are getting. Every individual fish is different

i would change it to a more peaceful clown fish and not add anthing else beyond what you have.

Otherwise, it sounds good. I hope that you are succesful. biggrin.gif

Well i bought 1 firefish goby 1 maroon clown 2 spotted cardinals and 1 not sure if it was a royal gramma but the top of him is purple and the bottom is yellow but he was tiny and was $4 so i just bought him.

all the fish get along fine no problems none of them fight i was thinking of getting a baby black and white clown but he might have territorial problems but ill take any advice you guys give?

The purple/yellow fish is either a royal gramma, or a psudecromis. They psedo looks more like a goby, and the gramma has more defined scales and some black marks.

i think you got a Diadem Dottyback,
does it look like this?

"Diadem Dottyback"

yeah thats what i bought is he going to be ok in my tank??

he seems to be doing great so far!!!
no fighting he is very small too how big do they get?

Lionfishy- 04-24-2005
ok,

Max he will get is 2.4 inches.
Needs meat foods like marine fish, crustacean flesh, and shrimp.

He will eat any smaller ornamental shrimp - so be carefull.

It is a aggressive fish, and it will attack similar looking fish,
damsil fish, fire-fish gobies, anthias, gramma's, and juveniles of larger fishes, (e.g., tangs, angelfish, butterflyfish.

This fish is quiet hardy but is prone to color loss. (the magenta strip often fades). Feeding high quality, vitamin enriched food, will help such things from happening.

Thats about all you need to know about it biggrin.gif

AlexANelson- 04-24-2005
did you add all of the fish at the same time????????

Lionfishy- 04-24-2005
No,

1-2 fish every 2 weeks

friscomenace- 04-24-2005
No i did not add them all at the same time. I read about tank stocking in a book.
I feed the fish Brine Shrimp (freeze-dried) and every saturday i give them some marine flakes too for color enhancing. all the fish but the cardinals eat the flakes. He doesnt seem to fight with my gobie they actually sleep together under the live rock. and i could see them under the rock and they dont have problems. So i assume they are doing fine.
