They had them at a not very good pet shop here for $20 AU

They get massive, but these were only babys in an itty bitty tank, i felt sorry for them, i was gonna buy one just to give it away but decided not to, cant save the whole world sad.gif

Why not get a barracuda?

It would be much easier to do.

Bob, I have a huge interest in sharks and I want one to learn it's behavior. I can't study them in the ocean because most of them are in the deep and I have no knowledge on diving.

Ive been wanting to do the same too. I know out here in the San Francisco Bay i cought small grey sharks that can live in a 80 gallon tank. The leopard shark does get big and ive caught many of those and they taste good fried in tempura batter!! biggrin.gif But the ranger i was talking to saw me catch the small grey shark and the law on fishing is when catching a leopard shark it has to be at least 3 feet long. But this shark wasnt striped like the leopards so i asked him what it was. He simply told me people catch those grey sharks to keep em in tanks they get only a foot long in there lifetime but they are illegal to keep. i was like ohh kool!!!

I don't think any shark stays that small. The grey shark gets around 6 feet, and is not commonly kept in home aquaira.
