Well I'm redoing my betta barrack setup since eventually I'm going to end up having mold grow under everything. Plus it just doesn't quite cut it. I have over 30 bettas at this moment, and once I start breeding them, I will have hundreds. So it's best to get things right right now. I am using 8-9 10gal tanks to hold the bettas (each betta in it's own unit inside of the tank), and another 10gal as a spawn tank or my 20gal L. I will then have a couple big female community tanks to help save money, room and maintence time. As/if my success grows, I will continue to add more tanks to house the bettas, and more spawning/growing out tanks. I hope to complete my setup by the end of the month, and hopefully spawn my copper gold halfmoon male with my copper doubletail female by mid september. The offspring would be up for sale 3-4 months afterwards. My goal is to improve finage, and color quality, and possibly someday work on new strains. So, i'm going to be up to my knees with bettas wink.gif.

Well my dad took the dig camera to work, and i have no idea when i'll have it again. But ill try to get some pics when i get it back. It won't be much to see though, and there is no drainage/drip system, just a bunch of tanks on random stands, so don't expect to be blown away when I do get pics. tongue.gif

Alright here's an lil update. My plans were to line the tanks/stands along the basement wall, next to a big ol' sink, but now I've been moved to a room in the basement on the opposite side. We took apart the weight machine we had in there, and moved it out along with the other excerise stuff and other things. The room is carpeted, so we're going to rip that out. Also there's a big red desk in there that'll hold most of my tanks, the others will be on a stand me and my dad made previously. At this moment we still need to remove the random furniture/equipment, and then we can take out the carpet. After that the red desk will be placed in the middle and will hold tanks on each side. The lighting is horrible in that room though, so we might need to install another light or something. Also, my dad is going to run over some more outlets so I have enough for heaters and so on. After all that, I'm going to jar all my bettas in their previous water, then drain the tanks and remove any decor/gravel that may have been in there. Then clean them up, and transport them into the new fishroom to set them up. Once that's all said and done, the bettas will be placed in their own bigger section.

In other news, I lost my only crown tail girl who was the pair of the black devil male I had. She wasn't looking too good ever since of that cold front which really messed them up (and later help give the male dropsy).
