I woke up this morning and noticed that my common pleco was injured. He still seems very lively but I noticed he has been "cut" open and looks like he was nibbled on....I also do believe he is missing a fin now....What do I do?

This is the Borneo stingray pleco

right now he has no tank mates. He is quarantined with Melafix treatment.

His old tank mates have no sign of this on any of there bodies.

I think these "infections" are getting worse. It may just be me but they seem like they are getting a little bit bigger. He has been in QT treated with Melafix for 4 days now... reef/mail1.gif reef/mail1.gif reef/mail1.gif reef/mail1.gif ..

This is my pleco after 5 days of treatment with Melafix....
He still swims around, eats and acts totally normal... No sign of being sluggish, scraping his body around the tank or anything.....Any advice?

Dito to NTF question.
I have not seen anything like it before, you may have to take drastic action against it and use stronger meds
