Well,
since i had a mistery death of my two fish in my SW tank, i decited to add a new fish. SO i got a zebra lionfish today.
I think that it will do well, as once i put it in the tank, it started to explore its new territory. I will try to get some pictures soon

how big of a tank would i need to keep a Dwarf Zebra Lion??
marinedepotlice.com says:

no no no no no! Fu Manchu Lionfish are one of the hardest Lionfish to maintain healthily. They are easily suseptable to disease and need plenty of room, even though they are small. Get a Dawrf Zebra, they are much easier. Plus Fu Manchu's will, in many cases, not eat anything but live food. Unless you wanna go broke buying live shrimp every month, stick with the Zebra.

Hi, before you add any more fish you should find out why your fish died!!, how do you know your new fish will do well after having two fish die? (fish just don't die)

Too late, though, he already added the Zebra.

The only lionfish they I would recomend for a 20 or 30 gallon tank would be the Fu Manchu Lionfish. Most people think that Fu Manchu Lionfish are hard to care for but they are just the same as other dwarf lionfish. They are just hard to get to eat at first and that is the main reason why people say they are hard to take care of. Other dwarf lionfish a 55 gallon tank or more. A 55 gallon tank is a good size to keep a dwarf lionfish in. If dwarf lionfish are in a 30 gallon they don't have much room to move around and explore. As for the Radiata Lionfish, Antennata Lionfish, and Russell's Lionfish they need over a 100 gallon tank because of the size they get and the space they need. The only lionfish that needs over a 200 gallon tank would be the the Volitan Lionfish.
-Little FYI on lionfish

Thanks, and I'm glad to hear that. Still too late though, seeing as how he already added the Zebra, but that's okay. Just plan on upgrading to a larger aquarium for the lionfish after a while, Lionfishy. And hey Evanish, welcome to the forum. As a freshwater mod, I hope you enjoy it here. Might wanna introduce yourself in the 'welcome' forum, so we can get to know you. Hope you make a great controbution to our forum. It seems you know a lot about lionfish!

http://www.reefkeeping.com/issues/2002-11/fm/feature/thats a site i found while researching... although alot of ppl dissagree with the tank size that it states as required its still a good article in my mind and atleast shows you the more commonly available lions.
Lionfishy- 07-17-2005
Yea,
its a good artical.
And i agree with the tank sizes.
I mean why keep a 5" lionfishy that sits all day on a rock in a 50g when it will be fine in a 30g.
Saltwater- 07-17-2005
That is an excellent article on lions, when it comes to Volitans the article states 85g which I feel is to small. Volitans become slow movers as adults and perch themselves on the rocks but get 12-15 inches.
You must make sure the lion has enough room to turn, think of a soccer ball in your tank when you look to keep one of these fish.
Here is another good article by Calfo & Fenner
