We all get it,
what are some treatments that you have used and they worked for you?
If you have a reef tank with all of those inverts, pick up a product called Kick-Ich. It works in about one week. I am not a fan of malachite green, it dyed all of my silicone a bluish color in my quaritine tank. I have used copper, it works better then Kick-Ich, but it will kill inverts.
i got this thing called Ich-ATTACK
i am using it now,
its safe fir reefs
made by korgon
I read up on Ich-Attack, it says that it is also for the treatment of fungus. It is very cheap: $3.99
i think that Ich-attack is working!!! :D
Thats good, I hate Ich. I lost a blue tang and two firefish gobies to it.
Oh,
that must-have really sucked
Best med. I ever used for Ich is from jungle labs--its called tank buddies Ick clear or parasite clear. I think they changed the name one time. They are pre-measured fizzing tablets/1 Tab per 10 gal I do believe. Ya just pop the recco. ammount of tabs in and they dissolve and turn the water blue (which disappears after time)
I had Ich one time, was years ago tho, and I used this stuff and it was GONE in NO time at all. Never lost a fish either!!!!! So I will always swear by it... course--- maybe I just got lucky, dunno.
I believe its for freshwater only, it doesnt say anything about SW. This CANT be used with crabs or shrimp either.
That stuff uses copper wich kills inverts and damages scaleless fishes. The reason that we lost the fish is that we couldn't get the meds for saltwater. It was sad. We named the Blue Tang Scuba 2 after the blue Tang at the McDonalds by my old house in CA.
Ich-Attack works wonders for me. I have also used the fizzing tables made by Jungle I think, and they worked pretty well on clearing it up in my freshwater 46 Bowfront when it was in use. One platy got it, and soon everyone had it. The fizzing tables cleared it up in a week and a half, but they're kinda expensive, and you don't get much in each pack. Hope I helped.
