Someone told me that over feeding a betta is bad because their stomaches are smaller than their eyes is this true?? i only feed them 3 blood worms a day to my blue betta and a little peice of brine shrimp to my blood red betta and they are fine. But is that true?

Their stomack is about the size of their eye YES, thats why they recommend 2-3 feedings a day. Small feedings that is.
I feed mine normally 2 times a day, a small amount normally 2 betta gold balls a feeding.

Sounds like you are feeding the right amount.
One of the problems with over feeding is they get consipated

Fishfriend is right on...I feed mine about 2 -3 times a day. I vary what they get each time. Could be 2 Hikare betta bites, 2-3 freeze dried blood worms, or a small pinch of betta flakes. Mine seem to be doing very well.

ok cool so i think ill stick with freeze dried bloodworms and brine shrimp. Ive tried Top Fin betta bits and they didnt like it then i tried bio-blend and they sorta liked it but then they stopped eating it so i stuck with real food.

It's always better to feed small amounts more often then one big meal.
